These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding agreement (the "Agreement" or the "Terms and Conditions") between You ("You", "Your", or "Yourself") and Lahmee LLC ("Lahmee", "We", "Us" or "Our"), a company organized in the United States, governing Your use of the Lahmee web and mobile application (the "Application"), www.lahmee.com.
The sole purpose of Our service is to find Your life partner in a traditional way for Your marriage, and We do not entertain You as a dating site.
Access and registration to the Lahmee application are free of charge. After registration, You have the option to upgrade to premium features for a membership fee. The membership fee may vary across users based on the service We provide.
By using the Application, You expressly acknowledge that you understand this Agreement and accept all of its terms whether or not you become a Member. If you do not agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you may not use or access the Application or the Services.
01 Modification
We reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions of this Agreement at any time, effective upon posting the amended Agreement on the site. If We make changes, We will notify You by, at a minimum, revising the "Last updated" date at the top of this Agreement. You are responsible for regularly reviewing this Agreement.
Continuous use of the Application or Services after any such changes shall constitute Your consent to such changes. If You do not agree to any such changes You may not use or access the Application or the Services.
02 Eligibility
The Application and Services are available only to, and may only be used by, individuals who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law. To register as a member and use the services of the Application, you must be legally competent and of legal marriageable age under the laws of your jurisdiction.
For users in Nepal, the legal marriageable age is at least 18 years for females and 21 years for males. For users in the United States and most other jurisdictions where Lahmee operates, you must be at least 18 years of age.
By becoming a Member you represent and warrant that You are at least the required age for marriage under the laws applicable to You, and that You have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into and abide by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
03 Account registration
In order to access certain features of the Application and Services, You must register to create an account and become a Member. You may register to join the Application and Services directly via the Mobile Application from Google Play and the App Store.
You will create Your Account and Your Account profile page for Your use of the Application and Services. You cannot have more than one Account. You should agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during the registration process. You should keep updating such information to keep it accurate, current and complete.
Lahmee reserves the right to suspend or terminate Your Account and Your access to the Site and Services if You create more than one Account or if any information provided during the registration process or thereafter proves to be inaccurate, not current or incomplete.
You are responsible for safeguarding Your password. You agree that You will not disclose Your password to any third party and that You will take sole responsibility for any activities or actions under Your Lahmee account, whether or not You have authorized such activities or actions. You will immediately notify Lahmee of any unauthorized use of Your account.
As mentioned above, You will create Your Account and use Our Services just to find a partner for marriage — not for casual dating. Any other organizations, companies, businesses, and/or individuals carrying on similar or competitive businesses cannot become a Member of Lahmee, nor use the Service or other users' data for any commercial purpose. Lahmee reserves its right to initiate appropriate legal action for the breaking of these obligations.
04 Account security
The information that you provide or generate, as a part of Your use of the Service, is of great importance to Lahmee. The Service is encrypted using SSL technology and all your information, including reports and the content of your logs, is stored on secure cloud servers.
When using Our Services, You are responsible for safeguarding the password and login credentials that You use to access the Mobile Application and You agree not to disclose your password to any third parties. You are solely responsible for any activity performed from Your Account and shall immediately notify Lahmee of any unauthorized use of Your account.
You hereby acknowledge that the information that You provide Us for the use of Our Services is likely to be highly sensitive and should be kept confidential by You and stored at all times to avoid unauthorized access.
05 Representations & warranties
You understand and agree that You are solely responsible for compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and tax obligations that may apply to You while using the Lahmee Application and Services. While using Our Application and Services, You agree that You will not:
- pretend, falsify, or fabricate information to misrepresent Yourself or Your affiliation with any other person or entity;
- use Our Application to find someone's identity for stalking, threatening, or harassing;
- post any false, inaccurate, inappropriate, abusive, offensive, sexually-oriented, threatening, harassing, or misleading information while using Our Application and Services;
- post, email, or transmit any malicious code, files, or programs that interrupt, damage, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer software, hardware equipment, or take away any data or personal information;
- try to hack the Lahmee system or breach any authentication of the security system;
- try to use any other manual or automatic device to retrieve, scrape, or "data mine" the contents and data of Lahmee;
- use Our Application or Services in connection with the distribution of unsolicited commercial email ("spam").
06 Proprietary rights & license
Proprietary rights. All intellectual property of Lahmee is entirely owned by Us. Our intellectual property includes database rights, copyright, design rights, trademarks, and other similar rights. Lahmee's trademarks, logos, service marks, and company/product names set forth in the Platform are the property of Lahmee. You acknowledge and agree that any questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, feedback, or other information ("Submissions") provided by You to Us are non-confidential and shall become the sole property of Lahmee. Lahmee owns exclusive rights to use and dissemination of any of your submissions for the purpose of commercialization and marketing without any restriction, acknowledgment, or compensation to You.
Application license. Lahmee grants You a non-transferable, non-exclusive, limited license to access the Application to use Our Service for Your sole purpose. Lahmee reserves all rights in the Application that are not granted to You by this Agreement.
Member content license. Under the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Lahmee grants You a limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive license to (i) access and view any Content for your personal purposes only and (ii) access and view other Member Content to which You are permitted to access, only for Your personal and non-commercial purposes. You have no right to sublicense the granted license rights in this section. You will not use, copy, adapt, or modify any Lahmee content to distribute, sub-license, transfer, transmit, broadcast, or otherwise exploit the Application and Services.
07 Lahmee communication
When You become a Member of Our Mobile Application, You agree to accept and receive communication from Us. Email, text messages, calls, and notifications are the means used for communicating with You. By agreeing to be contacted by Lahmee, You understand and agree that You may receive communication from Us to provide you a better Service.
You understand and agree that Your phone number will be used for the verification of Your identity and You may receive a phone call from Our Customer Service for your second verification. Lahmee reserves the right to cancel the notification service at any time. If You do not receive any of Our email communications, calls, or text messages, You may contact our Customer Service.
08 Feedback
Lahmee highly appreciates Your comments and suggestions for the improvement of Our Application and Services ("Feedback"). You may submit Feedback through our Feedback section on the Mobile Application. You understand and agree that the Feedback sent by You will be the sole property of Lahmee and will be posted without any obligation to You.
09 Copyright policy
Lahmee respects the intellectual property of others and expects Users to do the same. It is Our policy to terminate the Lahmee Accounts of Members who are found to violate or are believed to be violating the rights of copyright holders.
10 Termination policy
This Agreement is valid to the Users who are registered and are using our Application or the Services. You may discontinue Your use of the Application or participation in the Services at any time, for any reason. Subject to Our rights by law, we may suspend or deactivate Your Lahmee Account, or cancel Your membership to access the Platform, at any time, for any reason, upon notice to You.
The termination of Your membership will not entitle You to a refund for any subscription fees paid by You, except where otherwise guaranteed in writing.
11 Other terms of use for members
- Lahmee reserves the right to review the activity and status of each account and block access to the member if it goes against Our policy.
- You as a Lahmee member, do not have any objection to receive emails, SMS/WhatsApp messages, and calls from Us, including SMS permission for authenticating mobile transactions.
- Multiple profiles of the same person are strictly not allowed on the Lahmee Mobile Application. We reserve the right to deactivate all multiple profiles without any refund of subscription fees.
- You are not allowed to use other members' profiles for advertising, promoting, or sharing outside of the Lahmee Mobile Application.
- Lahmee is not responsible for any activities You engage with other Members after You meet via Our Application.
- Lahmee does not encourage or provoke the practice of "dowry" if both members successfully proceed to marriage through our Platform.
